Includes correspondence relating to family ownership and management of property in Boston and Noddles Island; business correspondence and accounts relating to shipping ventures and consignments (1691-1758) and West Indies trade (1733-43); letter book (1738-42) of John Yeamans, who married Elizabeth Shrimpton, relating to administration of Leeward Islands, kept while Lieutenant Governor at Antigua; and papers of John Stevens relating to shipping ventures (1750-60), property in Connecticut and the Muscongus lands (now Maine), and settlement of his estate and that of his wife, Martha Stoddard Stevens. Other persons represented include Col. Samuel Shrimpton (1673-1703), Shute Shrimpton Yeamans, and members of the Stoddard family.
